e-Golf DRLs. LCM parameters?

Hi from the USA

I have an e-Golf with facelift LED AFS lights, but the L shaped DRLs only illuminate with the parking lights. (The e-Golf has separate C shaped DRLs in the bumper)

I am planning on buying VCP because I would like to set the LCMs to light up the L shaped DRLs as daytime running lights.

OBD11 lets me control the C shaped DRLs, but it doesn’t let me change the L shaped DRLs.

Would VCP be able to let me change the LCM parameters to enable the L shaped DRLs?

What exactly did you try to light up the L shaped DRLs?

Current behaviour:
With switch set to Auto - C shaped bumper DRLs lit 100%, L shaped headlight DRLs OFF.
With switch set to Parking light - C shaped bumper DRLs lit 100%, L shaped headlight DRLs light up dim with parking light lamp
With switch set to dipped-beam lights - C shaped bumper DRLs lit dim, L shaped headlight DRLs light up dim with dipped beam

Desired behaviour: L shaped DRLs to operate the same as the C shaped DRLs.

When I look in the Leuchte functions in the 09 control module in OBD11 I am able to configure the C shaped DRLs easily. I can completely disable them if I wish, or just leave them set to operate as daytime running lights.

If I open the Leuchte channel for the L shaped DRLs and look at the Lichtfunktion I see German text meaning "functions controlled by LCM" (I dont have OBD11 in front of me right now, so I apologise for not being precise with my terminology".

If I try to change that setting to anything else I get errors. From all the research I've done, the LCM settings can't be changed with VCDS or OBD11.

My understanding (which may be incorrect) is that if the LCM parameters are set to match a NAR 7.5 Golf R, then the L shaped DRLs should operate the way I want.

I know the behaviour from a Passat GTE that the parking lights from the headlights can be activated together with the real DLRs in the bumper.

We cannot solve this by doing philosophy. A complete adaptation map is needed and OBD11 is crap for doing complex troubleshooting.
