VCP System Forum

Hi fellas,

I am in Germany, and have one of the Passat, MJ 11/2013 with 177 PS, Diesel.
I am looking for something like VCP, where I can flash ECU if possible.
Now, I do speak a bit German, and "komme zurecht mit" but I would like to write in english so I can express myself little bit better.

Hope it's not big deal.

I am looking for OBD Device, like VCP and/or VCDS, but would prefer to buy VCP, since I already saw online that with VCP can be possible to flash ECU.
How far I know, VCDS can't do that.
One of my colleages have CarPort and he can't either.
I also looked up for OBD11 Pro dongle, but it's online based DB and require internet connection all the time, which means I can't work in underground garage in my appartment building, since I can't have connection over there.

If I choose to buy me one of the VCP, for which version/device do I need to look at?
Which can flash ECU and/or are some additional modules required?
If yes, what are they and how much are they?
I guess, they will be available in the shop.... , right ?
If not, how can I flash the ECU with starter kit for example?
Do you guys have a step by step manuals, or some other manuals that I can get familiar before I do something.
I am in IT, so with manuals and with flashing will be OK.
I am not looking to buy me some china/illegal clones and will not work with them.

But, I can't find right info about which modul/device to buy and how much will that all be.

I already saw that you guy have "only for members" forum, which is fine with me, until I pay for the VCP device.

You can use every version of VCP to flash original files from VW, but you can not flash modified files to the ECU. For flashing original files you don't need to buy addons. In the members section you'll find a lot of informations about VCP and how to use it.

Have just a few more, if you don*t mind.

Where can I get original file?
How can I make a copy from my current ECU ?
Can this be done with VCP??
Or do I need to go to some tuner and make a copy?
Or do you have any tips/tricks about that?
All of those questions are connected to "software update" which I will be "probably" doing on my Passat in future, just to cover all bases and have solution if something went wrong and not like planned.
And VCP is not limited with FIN(VIN)'s right? Like VCP with 3 FIN, 10 FIN and unlimited FIN's.
Basically, I can use it on how many vehicles I want/can, right

I checked price from this forum and from obd2.pl and vcpsystem.com (which is the same company I guess) and it's a different.

If I get from "other guys" can I access and register at this forum as full member with original VCP ??
Or what can we do about price here?
If you have any "sonder angebot/special offer" I will be interested.

For time being, I don't have anything else that works with my Passat that I can clear any codes, do some reading etc... all of those obd2 devices I bought back in USA ( long time ago) do not work on can bus, and I am looking to buy something really soon.

You can download the Flash-DVD's directly from Audi, SEAT, Skoda and VW (ER*IN).

Backup could only be done with Tuner's Tools like KESS or CMD

VCP is not limited to VIN, you can use it for unlimited number of cars.

Yes, i'm the founder and Admin here. VAG Tech is the manufacturer of VCP from Poland. obd2.pl is their polish shop, vcpsystem.com is their shop for the rest of the world.

You can register regardless where you're buying VCP.
